The Tigard Tualatin Relay for Life Aims to Raise Over $60,000 for Cancer Research and Patient Support at The Wonderful World of Relay July 15th!
On July 15th 2017 at 10am hundreds of people in our local communities will come together at Twality Middle School’s Track for a common goal, to raise over $60,000 in the fight to eradicate Cancer so that our future generations never hear the words “You Have Cancer”
At 10am Saturday July 15th there will be Opening Ceremonies where we will hear about Gordy Klatt the founder of Relay and hear from a local Survivor about her Cancer journey. We will start walking (or running) at 10am and won’t stop until Sunday July 16th at 10am. Because cancer never sleeps, so neither will we.
While each team has walkers on the track and others in the community come to walk with us, there will also be activities going on. We will have a Survivor tent where Cancer Survivors can come together to talk to each other, receive free massages from Everest, eat a healthy lunch from Firehouse Subs and enjoy goody bags from local merchants. There will be live music playing throughout the day and into the night, a DJ, Karaoke, the local Star Wars 501st troop, Disney Princesses, and enormous Silent Auction, Luminaria Ceremony at Dusk and Midnight Movie with Free Pizza from Pizza Caboose. The full schedule can be found on the Tigard Tualatin Relay for Life Facebook Page or online at www.relayforlife.org/tigardor.
Disney’s The Wonderful World of Relay is our theme this year, so expect to see some of your favorite movie characters and each camp site will be decorated with themes such as Moana, Star Wars, Up, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and more.
To sign up, for more information, or to Donate towards our goal of $60,000 visit www.relayforlife.org/tigardor or show up for 1 hour or stay the full 24 July 15th and 16th at Twality Middle School.
See you there.
Thanks,
Tigard/Tualatin Relay for Life Committee
