Job Fair & Financial Education Event: Evento Para Empoderar A Todos

October 15 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Tualatin Together presents our first job fair and financial education event: Evento Para Empoderar A Todos.
We are excited to say there will be at least six employment agencies, support for resume building, interview skills, options with MSFW for migrant and seasonal workers, the ability to get a NCRC certification (national career readiness certificate required by unions) and education/support on how to open a bank account, kinds of identification accepted (Matricula issued by Mexican Council to Mexican Citizens living in the U.S.A and Credencial is the registered voter card of their home country), how to use checks, and how to safely pay bills.

This is being advertised as far and wide as possible and will include both Tigard and Tualatin High Schools for students and adults alike. We know the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic has left families with fewer or no jobs. Through a grant with Washington County’s Community Health Improvement Plan we are able to learn from our Hispanic community what resources they need to live their best lives.

If you are interested in hosting a table at this event, please reach out to Delmira Gonzalez De Niz at delmira@tualatintogether.org.

Admission is FREE for families. Pizza for all and games/crafts for kids will be provided.
