The 2018 Oregon legislature lasted for 27 days (Feb 5 – March 4) and adjourned a full eight days before the constitutional deadline. There were no budget or policy emergencies that the legislature needed to immediately address. The February revenue forecast projected an additional $99 million of discretionary income, and the state budget was very stable thanks to the January special election in which Measure 101 passed and kept the state Medicaid budget intact by affirming previously approved health care taxes.
