New Small Business & Child Care Grants in Tualatin!

If you operate a small business with fewer than 25 employees or if you are a Tualatin resident paying for child care, there are three new grants available of you!
On Friday, Jonathan Taylor, Economic Development Manager for the City of Tualatin, announced these three exciting programs which are injecting capital into Tualatin businesses and supporting Tualatin families.
Small business owners can apply for the City of Tualatin Business Rent Assistance Program and/or the State of Oregon Business Grant Program.
Here is a quick overview:
- City of Tualatin Business Rent Assistance Program
- $400,000 in small business grants funded by the C.A.R.E.S. Act. The money needs to be designated for small business owners by Nov. 15 or it will be returned to the federal government.
- Grants will pay for up to two (2) months of your rent (up to $8,000).
- You need a current Tualatin business license.
- Either:
- Your business was prohibited from opening OR
- Your revenue declined 25% when 2019 is compared to the same months in 2020.

- State of Oregon Business Assistance Grant Distributed through the City of Tualatin
- About $200,000 will be distributed to small businesses in Tualatin. If not distributed, the money is returned to the state.
- Grants are up to $25,000 per business.
- You need a current Tualatin business license.
- Either:
- Your business was prohibited from opening OR
- Your revenue declined 50% when 2019 is compared to the same months in 2020.

- The City of Tualatin ChildCARES Scholarships
- $250,000 in scholarships to pay child care expenses
- Award: up to $1,000 per month for 3 months
- Maximum of two scholarships per household.
- You must reside in Tualatin.
- The childcare provider must be a registered Emergency Child Care Provider (ECC) in Tualatin.
