2020 Community Development Block Grant Applicant Orientation
Business Oregon is conducting a 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Applicant Webcast for cities and counties interested in applying for Community Development Block Grant funds in 2020 or for those who want to learn more about the program.
The applicant orientation webcast is strongly encouraged for units of general local government who intend to apply for the following programs in 2020: Housing Rehabilitation, Public Works, Community Facilities, or Micro-Enterprise Assistance type projects. Non-profit entities and grant administrators who may be providing assistance to cities and counties are also strongly encouraged to participate.
During the webcast, Business Oregon will describe the 2020 State CDBG Program requirements, threshold and scoring criteria, CDBG E-application utilization and completion.
The webcast series is comprised of two pre-recorded modules. The modules should be viewed as a whole and will be available starting July 1, 2020. Registration is required.
Interested applicants should register for the webcast series at your earliest convenience.
Get Ready… CDBG Application Period is Here!
Business Oregon will be accepting Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for 2020 Fall application round (July 1 through September 30).
This application is the regular bi-annual CDBG application round for those activities governed under the 2020 CDBG Method of Distribution. It is not for the COVID-19 related projects and it is not funded through the CARES Act.
Applications will be done online through the Business Oregon Economic Development Portal. Potential applicants with well-developed, ready-to-proceed projects should work with the Regional Development Officer in their area in preparation for submitting an application. We look forward to working with communities throughout Oregon to fund important community projects.
