Tualatin is home to one of the premier destination shopping centers in Oregon. Bridgeport Village is an upscale lifestyle shopping center that includes over 90 retail stores and restaurants. Renowned stores such as Cole Haan, Crate & Barrel, Tommy Bahama, Saks Fifth Avenue Off Fifth, and many more fill the 500,000 square feet of floor space. In addition, the largest Regal Cinema in the state is located in Bridgeport Village.
Tualatin also boasts another lifestyle shopping center east of Interstate 5. Nyberg Woods supports a Pacific Northwest architectural design along the 2,000 feet of freeway frontage. The center has over 200,000 square feet of retail space anchored by Best Buy, Old Navy, Golfsmith, and PetSmart.
Business Clusters-Manufacturing & Trade
Location, Location, Location
Tualatin’s relationship to road and rail access has provided a favorable environment for industrial development. The City is served by the Interstate 5, Interstate 205, and Highway 99W. In addition, the industrial area is bisected by two railroads: the Portland & Western Rail and Willamette & Pacific Rail. These transportation services enable manufacturing based businesses and wholesale trade companies to effectively move goods throughout the region and west coast.
Leveton Employment Area
This former urban renewal district is the center of Tualatin’s international manufacturing and traded sector economy. Several years of considerable investments in local infrastructure paved the way for economic development. Major employers in this area include Novellus Systems, Fujimi Corporation, JAE Oregon, and DPI Specialty Foods.
Future Manufacturing & Trade Expansion Areas
Although Tualatin’s industrial areas are in a prime location and served well by transportation access, there is over 300 acres of vacant land within the current city boundary zoned for manufacturing and business park use. Several hundred more vacant employment lands exist outside of the city limits. These vacant lands represent a significant opportunity to increase local employment.
